Hi.
Totally new to the RV world.
I race a car and need a decent size Rv to tow my car and trailer.
I have seen a Gulf Stream 22ft Ultra for salke and am interested in buying it.
Does anyone have any thoughts about that particular model?
I am limited to size by wher I live and the practicality of parking etc.
Most of the time I am by myself and dont need a big RV.

Wopuld appreciate any help.
Thanks
Paul

Hi Paul welcome to the forum, you need to find out what weight the m/h can tow? so as to stay within the law, and not make your insurace void should you have an accident. Tony

:welcome:...can't help sorry, I'm at the other end of the size scale to a RV. In fact, my van might be smaller than the car you're trying to tow!

Nightmares RV

Well, mentioning no names I went to see this RV. It was not really very good at all considering the advertising blurb. The main thing was that when I asked to test drive it I was told that was impossible. I asked the chap if he would buy a car without a test drive and he said 'Yes of course'! He said I would have to commit to buy and then he would drive me around in it.
Well as you might have guessed I walked away immediately.
The company in question is in the 'Oxford' area. The title might give a clue.

I don't know if anyone has had any other experiences like that but it has put me off. !

I'm probably going to buy a Chevy day van as it will be quite adequate for my needs.
Thanks for all your welcome messages by the way.:thumb:
Regards
Paul

Hi Paul and welcome

Chevy dayvan is a good choice:thumb: , we have one that we use to tow our trade trailer , we use a bulldog 400 stabiliser to help prevent snaking .Our dayvan is a motorhome and we stay in it for 5 days at a time with our 4 dogs ( we do have a drive away awning which makes a helluva difference )

Towing a dayvan.

Hi Chris, Thanks for the reply.
I had approached and outfit called 'Towequipe' as they said that they supply tow hitches for all vehicles.
I told them it was a 1994 Chevy Dayvan and they asked me if it was an import. Did they think they made up in Birmingham??
I was then told that I would have to get one from the US.
Surely someone must have something suitable.

Any help appreciated.
Thanks

Paul
