Just back from our very first motorhgome trip abroad. Loved every minute. No plan just did the aires around dieppe and le havre....some free some not but all brilliant.
No problems at all except for 2.6 metre underpass coming out of Le Havre which i ignored and took airiel off roof of van. Very scarey.
What a way of life. Its so relaxed and if you want to move you just go. Top place Etretat, Honfleur and Deuville. Free parking on harbour for 2 nights at Deuville.::bigsmile:::bigsmile:

Thanks for the info ::bigsmile:
Can't wait for our trip to start. Our Jack Russel is travelling with us, hence the booked campsite at the end of the trip. They have arranged the vet visit for us :Smile:

Glad you liked it over here we have been out with our motorhome ourselves, three weeks in Brittany one more week to go before we go back to our house near the Somme southern Pas de Calais....the weather as been fantastic started in the southern part of Brittany at Piriac...Brambles ......then we worked our way around the coastline stopping, or just looking at every aire in the book on the Brittany coast, south west, now coming back along the north We are not far from Le Monte M" our weather has been fantastic, Hot, and blue skies all of the time in the 30+ many days up to 40.2 and 42.C except for two days of rain, well not full days and one night it rained a little thro the night but bright again the following day....the days it rained we was at or near Roscoff....it always seems to rain for us at Roscoff ???.
Who ever told the Lincolnshire rover to take wellies big jumpers brollies overcoats...as it always rains and bad weather this time of year in Brittany......well all I can say if he took the advice he would have looked a bonny B walking around like that what would the French have thought.....I hope he took T shirts and shorts ...me I was never out of my shorts

The only Problem we have had late one night 2.00am in the morning at Loctudy southern France there was a bar across the road a French drunk trying to get out of the aire..were he had parked in is old wreck of a motor, smacked /backed into my back end of the motorhome and hit a French motorhome at the front trying to get away........he had no insurance the last time his car was MOT tested was 2001 the car was still registered to the previous owner of 9 years previous .....and what a job we had as there was 5 other of his friends came across to assist him.....Mmmmmmmmmn no street lights in the Aire jet black...and now we have just got a big chip on the windscreen from a stone off the road as many roads are being repaired or changed in France at this moment in time....but hey we are still enjoying a good holiday

If your at St Cere then you have probably done these already but we were there recently and The Gouffre de Padicrac http://www.gouffre-de-padirac.com/ just a few miles away is fantastic. massive caverns and underground rivers. Really good value as well (about 9 euros) and your down there for a good hour and a half. Presume also you have been to Rocamadour about 9 miles west of Padirac. We loved it so much in April we came back again in May.
