Hever/Leeds castle (1 Viewer)

I'm hoping that you can help.. We want to visit Hever & Leeds castle. Does anyone know of any campsites that we can park up our motorhome and pitch up a 20ft tent. We will have a car with us so it doesn't have to be on the doorstep but pretty close. I belong to the caravan club but can't really find anything near.. Seems really strange that camp sites are so scarce around there... Fingers crossed some one can help us....

Not sure about the tent, but nearest CC Site to Leeds Castle is at Bearsted 5 mins up the road by car.

Leeds Castle is £17.50 per adult but that gives you a year ticket, you can park a MH or car at Leeds Castle, nice picnic area, on site before you pay to get in.

There is a nice site at Painters Forstal, near Faversham which puts you within a 20 min drive of Leeds Castle and I guess around 1 hours drive from Hever which may be too far, but it puts you very close to Faversham, Whitstable and Canterbury if your looking for other places to visit.

There is a nice little pub in the village, walking distance from the camp site

If you want to visit Leeds Castle come to Bearsted Caravan Club site, the castle is just down the road, lovelly site, I am here quite a lot, nice big wide pitches, all the mod cons and the people here are fantastic, Hever Castle is a little bit of a drive away but you must see Leeds Castle and the grounds you won't regret it.

There is a site in Lingfield which is only about 10 minutes from Hever Castle which is Edenbridge in Kent. Lingfield is in Surrey - borders of Kent and Sussex. I used to live in Lingfield but haven't stayed on the site myself.

however it has one or two comments on traffic and aircraft noise (which is not to be ignored if you want an early night. I dont think they fly right through the night though - just evening up until about 11pm it used to be)

so maybe check this out so you get the right pitch if visiting there.

Ideal for visiting Hever I reckon if the other places are too far.
