The beast has gone and been replaced by Trevor, named in memorium of Sue's brother who left us the cash to buy him. 1st real outing apart from the drive home is Carmarthen. He is kept under wraps until then, with only sketchy details so far revealed, hee hee. Photos after Carmarthen if I am still alive after the scalping.

It is an Amazon ambassador, built by a boatyard and number three of only 7 built.
The chassis is a Mercedes 2.2 sprinter engined speed machine giving 28mpg. Power steering, automatic, and ABS, traction control, rear wheel drive with twin wheels, so just what you were looking for Harvey.
it has LPG tank as well as connection for standard gas bottles/BBQ point, Full cooker, Solar panel, Satellite dish, Radio cassette plus CD disk auto changer, blown air heating, twin sinks, Large fridge, fully winterised with internal water tanks and a double floor. One piece fibreglass body, rear enclosed roof ladder, wet locker, belly lockers, all windows have solar backed blinds and fly screens, large Heiki roof light. A second 80W solar panel and another pair of leisure batteries have been added plus a bucket for you to drool in, hee hee

I thought it was great too roger, and you cant really get the hump with it, cos the camels beat you, when you said it had camels i thought on the outside and yes there was one then when you showed me the inside saw them on the seating too, that was really different.

What a great way to rememberTrevor. Don't forget to have a nameplate or two...

We've always named our more interesting vehicles - Oliver, an Austin 8 tourer like the one on Dad's Army years ago, because the headlamp lenses stuck out a long way in front of the lamps, and we had a curate called Oliver with the same goggling eye. Polly, just right for our first Austin 7 - we had a row with the licencing authority because I changed the colour from black to a refined scheme which I wanted to call plum and custard, they wanted to call red and white, and we settled on maroon and cream. The 2-seater blue sports Austin 7 was "Flash", and the DUKW was "Fergie" after another large, comfortable and much loved lady of the time!

Plenty more, but now everyone will know "Trevor", so as I said, so get him labelled...

a very nice commemoration.
