Italy, leaving tomorrow (1 Viewer)

Hi All,

We leave tomorrow about mid day…for 6 weeks, boat Dover-Calais 11 30pm, stay at the port till morning then wander down to Swiss/ Italy. Hope to meet up with fellow Funsters on the way and at Luzern, Garda. If anyone would like to meet on the way down give us a call!:thumb:



We will try to buy a data card for our dongle but its really hard now without an address in the country you want it for!

That sounds like on the way back then.

If you haven't been and fancy the Italian Playboy life on the beach try Rimini/Riccioni and visit San Marino. Magic. Though I've not taken a MH up to San Marino.

If you are really brave Sorrento is a magnificent tourist trap. Which gets you Pomeii and Herculanium and the Amalfi coast ( but not with the MH ).

Walking in Ceasar's footsteps through Rome is mind blowing and loads of campings. We stayed in Lido di Ostia and got the train in. Daytime in Rome, evening by the sea.

Fancy Venice then Lido de Jesolo has more pitches than the rest of Italy put together. Awesome beaches. Holiday camp style with all facilities. We stayed in Cavallino. Buss+boat from the door.

We drove Italy for a few months in 2008- planning to go back there this summer... there are some fabulous sites all close to the lake edge....sooooooooo jealous...have a great time!!

Hiya, we aren`t jealous at all ..not one bit we are going to Cumbria, Cornwall and then Scotland so there...

Pssst don`t forget to bring us a couple of bottles of Bardolino.
