need to get a power surge protect for when we use the genny for our hymer electrobloc ebl 104-3

where can i get 1 from
i have looked at the web but no joy

or where can i get 1 for between the genny and the motorhome

I had a computer in-line ( kettle plug ) surge protector on the mains inlet to the electroblock, one night here, on hook up, nasty power cut - off - on - off and bye bye elecroblock.

Consider a priest and/or an exorcist as well.

not thought of a power surge protector before this thread, how does it work/position Do i link it up to the hook up cable before linking the hook up cable to the van??????

using a honda engine genney with elec invertor

talked to peter at hamiltons and he said best to have one when using a genny even through it is a good one

This is the Schaudt item you want (website is only in German). It is not a simple 'plug it in-line' surge protector like you might have for a computer, but has to be installed inside the van. It is designed specifically to protect the EBL. I believe Peter Hambilton fits them, but I guess any motorhome auto-electrician could do it for you. A call to Udo Lange as advised above might also indicate how to do it yourself.
