Has anyone stayed on this site ?
Any good ?
Is it on a bus route into Durham ?

You'll be downgraded from grumpy to miserable if you're not careful.

And to ensure my continuing status - of course people have stayed there, it's a camp site for goodness sake.

My apologies for the lack of grumpiness I will endeavour to return to my grumpy status forthwith.

We nearly stayed there last summer but changed our minds and went to York instead. Does that help? ::bigsmile:

We stayed there earlier this year. There is a park & ride about 10/15 minutes walk away on the other side of the A1. Doesn't run on Sundays but there is a good bus service into Durham (or Sunderland the other way) everyday which stops near the Park & Ride.
Also, it is walkable if you are feeling energetic.
Wardens will give you all the info you need they are very helpful.

It's a local CC site for me & I rate it quite highly. The bus stop to Durham is on the other side of a quite fast road, so care when crossing, of you could walk the 3 miles into Durham & get the bus back. You will not get your motorhome parked in Durham :Sad:.
