2 year....Love it!
As we are only going to transit through Swiss, would we be better paying for everything by card or should we take cash. do they accept the Euro?

Thanks All

Hi Patrick

The last time we were in Switzerland, 2 or 3 years ago, they were accepting Swiss Francs and Euros. Using the Euro should not be a problem for you.

Hi Pat, some places accept the Euro or its the Swiss Franc, don't know where your going but we had to get the krone when we went to Denmark. But where ever you go have a good one.:thumb: Bob.

I would take some cash just in case - keep this in a van safe (aonly around £10 for a small one) and keep under the bed/seating area.

It is a case of finding out what you card charges, if anything and the exchange rate. I would have both handy, it would be a better idea, just in case you should fill up in a garage that doesn't accept cards of your type! Saves any strained language barrier rows!

Most are very accomodating with francs/Euros etc - but fuel can be very pricey, try to fill before crossing the border!

Have a great time! Enjoy the air!

Card.....but check first that you have one that doesnt incur any charges on transactions. If so, change to one that doesn't.

You only need a very small amount in francs for things like coffees etc.

Petrol/diesel used to be dearer in Switzerland, but last year (and for a few years now) it's been cheaper.

Credit cards are probably your best bet, though some Co-op stores only accept cash.
The Euro is widely accepted, but it's advisable to carry ChFrancs - they usually hold their value if you don't spend all of them this time! :thumb:
