Hi
I am in the process of fitting a camos flat dish
and i have a maplins box that only has a scart socket on the back to connect to the TV

I also have a huppage thingy i use for TV on my laptop useing a normal ariel that has a standard ariel connector

The question is
Is it possable to connect a scart plug to a normal ariel connector so that i am then able to connect to the huppage thingy

Hope that sounds right
Happy daze

Tv Scart ...

Er, depends on which adaptor you have. the scart output can give you stereo sound (white/red phono) and video out (yellow) via an adaptor. If you have these on your Haupage or notebook you are ok, if not things get complicated,

Regards Richard

the easy answer is an RF modulator (eBaY) plug in scart and then belling lee to your video card, not easy to find a 12v one, you may have to powe it from a small inverter.
try bthis one

You are close with the haupgauge but not quite there.

You can get a USB audio/video input dongle. It will have phone connectors so you need a SCART to Phono lead.

This type of thing which may be available cheaper:

Yep totally agree with hilldweller.

I bought a USB capture card from ebay, £4.98 works a treat , we watch TV on the laptop

You can make your own Scart to AUX (Yellow) input, buy a scart socket from Maplin, couple of pounds and get soldering

I feel the urge to buy one but can't think of a need for it -- damn.

Men understand this, women just can't get their heads round the concept. They say ridiculous things like "what do you want that for ?". What kind of a question is that, I ask you.
