600ml double cream
200 gms sugar
vanilla extract
juice of two lemons

Heat the cream and sugar and boll gently for a few minutes. Stir in the extract and juice and put in wine glass (cool a little of course) and pop in fridge. I also put a bit of the lemon zest on the top to make it look nice.

Now I feel really boring. Shouldn't I be looking at stately homes or something?

Oooh yes - that sounds lovely. Funnily enough we were over your way today YP, picking up our MH from Dick Lane. Just in for one or two minor things.

I suppose you could do the recipe with orange instead of lemon too.
Then put a drop of cointreau in it. Thats an orange liqueur isn't it , i think.
Is it a garage that service MH on Dick lane ?
If so whats it called please ?

I think they are just called Dick Lane motorhomes. I'm sure they'll be on the internet
but their phone number is 01274 661441. They really knew they're stuff and I will be going to them in future. Very easy to get to.

Louless, they made that at the cookery demonstration at Camarthen show and Carol and I thought it really yummy.

I have made it twice now, half Alpro cream and half fromage fraise and soooooooo delicious and much less fattening. Brill.

Had it with fresh strawberries in it.:thumb::thumb:

Hi John, My version is a little less fattening ..... but still lots of calories cos of the sugar. I gues you could use sacharin though.... and as long as you use fresh fruit with it and not chocolate flakes as the man at the camarthan show did...... oh gosh now my mouth watering....::bigsmile:
