Thought i'd better say Hi & Introduce myself.
I am Tracey, late 30's size....... He he, sounds like a date wanted post :roflmto:
We Live In Lancashire, Nr Burnley.
I have just bought a Motorhome on New years eve, starting the year the way I want it to continue :D
It is a 2000 2.8 Fiat Ducato, Spent some time yesterday stocking it up ( Hmm, maybe another bottle of wine, 1 bottle was high on the priorities list ).
I am Disabled & a single mum to 3 teenage boys .
I was going to take some pics today to post, but have woken to it covered in snow.
I joined the site a few days ago & have already spent far to long, Ok cross that out, Gained loads of usefull info on things. Seems a really Friendly & Fun forum :)
My 1st car was a fiat126, so going full circle on the make.
With each vehicle I went bigger, last 2 were Japanese imports, Nissan Largos. Unfortunatly had a blow out on the motorway at 70 in Nov, after a 360 nearly twice, we somehow avoided any other vehicles & came to rest off the hardshoulder into the mud & a fence. How we were totally unharmed was a miracle. The car was a write off. So off we went in the search of another vehicle. We had looked at motorhomes before, but they had been out of budget, but looked again, & Glad we did. Our last Largo was almost a mini camper. I had a conversion specialist make me a unit with 3burner hob, sink, pumped water & cupboard in ( Luckily this was out at the time of the accident as we needed the extra room as were moving house). I also had a Movelite awning, luckily had bought the xl one incase I bought a larger vehicle later. Also pop up tents for my lads ( who don't allways come with me).
We Joined a local camping club last year & although due to personal probs didn't get away as much as hoped enjoyed it. Watched a vid/ saw pics of meets the other week & that made me realise how much fun we had.
This will be our 1st M/h.
As to why I am called Crafty camper, its because I am into crafty stuff, make cards, scrapbook etc.
Looking forward to chatting & laughing with you all :ROFLMAO:

Good to hear that you are now a Motor home owner.

Hope it gives you and the lads a lot of fun, and chance to get away.

Sounds like you were one very lucky lady in Nov let's hope lady luck continues to smile on you.

All the best for 2010

Take care Tracey unless you want a very short career as MH owner. The first thing you'll find the hard way is FWD motorhomes have very little grip. Wet grass and you're stuck. So don't go pushing your luck in snow.

We cut short our stay at the NY meet because I was worried about the weather, sure enough, we would not have got home today.

On Wednesday and Thursday most arrivals were towed on to the field.

Thick snow here now, there will be a lot still on that field in panic mode.
