It would appear that there is no longer a direct ferry service from the UK to Norway. What is the best ferry route for this trip for 2010.

We did Newcastle - Amsterdam, drove through Holland, Germany and Denmark (via Puttgarten ferry) then Copenhagen to Oslo. It took ages!!

We did Newcastle - Amsterdam, drove through Holland, Germany and Denmark (via Puttgarten ferry) then Copenhagen to Oslo. It took ages!!

We came back via Puttgarten Ferry then through D and NL to Hook of Holland to Harwich. Nice trip (mostly; except for the Ijsselmeer Causeway, the weather was wet, windy and miserable - damn! It could have been spectacular :Sad.
