Been on el raco in Benidorm for the past few weeks and at this time of the year usually you d be struggling to find a pitch, even though they have held the rent at last years prices there is an estimated 150-200 empty pitches . Is the rest of spain like this or is it just Benidorm Alan:Smile:

Hi.

3 years ago we could not get a pitch in December on El Raco and ended up on villa sol where we also spent last year where there was always loads of empty pitches. We think the weak £ has a lot to do with it. We have stayed in the UK this winter due to bad health.

:Eeek: Camping Almafra has been about half Full or half Empty depending on your point of view since it opened. However, in the coming weeks it is going to be overflowing with Camping & Caravan Clubs coming from Spain, the UK and either Germany or Holland or it might be Belgium? They are still installing the infractructure for the upcoming Rallies. After that? The camp will be back to where it was again. Half Full or half Empty depending on your point of view.
It MAY get even emptier when they put the prices up in January to try and NOT attract new customers.
Is this supply and demand working the wrong way round????

When we stayed on Camping Javea from Dec 2004 to July 2005 we were continually told that Easter and the Bank Holidays would fill the site, okay it became more busy but it was never full.

empty campsites

we are camping at Cabopino and came last winter when it was completely full and people were getting turned away every day. We are here now and the site is probably not half full. Prices on site are being kept at the same prices for 2010 but eating out here is very expensive!

Hi Ken We did some free camping on the way down, 2 weeks in Benicassim by the dried up riverbed, super place and a place to get rid of grey and black water provided by the local council but we then went to Damuz near Gandia again beautifull place but we could nt cope with emptying waste down a manhole so we did the usual and came to beni Alan:thumb:
