If I try & upload a photo onto the main gallery, I get the following message
Unable to move file [/tmp/phpUFpi2b] -> [/home/default/motorhomefun.co.uk/user/htdocs/gallery/uploads/6426/IMG_2096.jpg]

What am I doing wrong ?

Hi, sorry you are having problems - try now

I have managed to upload to the personal album and the main gallery. But the way permissions are configured etc, just because I can it doesn't mean you can. Please let me know how you get on

I still get an error message.
I have tried logging out & back in again - to no avail.
If I access my albums via the UserCP option, there is no facility shown to upload from there.

Are you still getting the same error message when you upload to the main gallery? The reason you cannot upload to your profile gallery is that you have reached the 100 photo limit.

The albums in your profile are essentially for letting people know a little more about you. This is my motorhome, my husband my dog etc. The photo numbers here are restricted to 100. Link Removed has no limit on the amount you may upload.

The Main Gallery upload option still gives me an error message -
Unable to move file [/tmp/phpYXduuO] -> [/home/default/motorhomefun.co.uk/user/htdocs/gallery/uploads/6426/duck-pond-sunset1.jpg]

Coreect about the personal gallery - I will need to weed that one out :)

I don't know whether anybody having trouble with loading pics has tried 'Photobucket'??

It's very, very simple and free.

Once you have joined, you click 'upload', and it displays the contents of your 'my pictures' folder. Click the pics you want to upload, one, or twenty if you like, and click upload again.

Once the pics are uploaded, you just right click the pic you wish to display on the forum page, return to the forum page, and paste the pic into your page. It's as simple as that. All the coding is done automatically, you don't even have to bother with the palaver.

Whenever I download pics to my computer, I immediately upload them to Photobucket where I know that they well be safe, even if I lose my hard drive.

You'll fid it here: Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket

Ouch, no, no, no.

They could fold tomorrow.

If you value your images back then up onto an external USB HD and store it in a place in your house where it would survive fire/flood/theft etc.

I say USB HD because DVDs are not proven over a long time. A HD plugged in occasionally, even once a day, with a bit of luck and no drops will last forever.

I'm paranoid, not just about the photos, I have 3 USB HDs and a laptop all carrying the same valuable data. I also dump the odd DVD and post these to my daughter.

Hi Jim

Just attempted to place an add, with picture support and had it rejected, with the following message:

[B]02 with frozen engine. jpg (exceeds your php maximum upload allowence)

I've reduce the pic to 722 x 444 or 123 kb and still it will not allow upload.

What is the max size please?

Thanks in anticipation:thumb:

Hi again Jim,

Sorted my problem, reduced the size a little more, and it worked.

Cheers for now:thumb:
