We have used filmon in the past to download and watch programmes later.
They've stopped that now and can only be reserved/recorded in the 'cloud'.
As Internet is needed to do this and not having enough data to do this, can anyone suggest a way of watching uk serials when we are away from next week to spain for the winter?
We wont be using sites much so won't be hoking up to their tv point.
We like to watch around 3 hrs a night.

Skipping lightly over the moral maze of is FilmOn legal or not

I have no idea if this would work for this particular streaming service... but when I want to capture YouTube and the like - I use;

Its a free online service -
choose your programme or film
simply copy & past the URL (from the address bar) into the box
press continue, wait a few minutes
download the result onto your hard disk or usb or whatever.

Edited:
Perhaps I've misread/misunderstood your OP
Do you you want to watch "live" tv, in which case internet is required
or stockpile episodes of your favorite serials to watch later - in which case, the above should work.
[The best way but probably the hardest 'learning curve' is torrents via a vpn - but is also the most morally dubious... I say dubious because if you're only recording for timeshift, programmes you have a right to watch because you've paid for the licence]

BBC programmes can be recorded for, I think, 30 days via BBC iplayer using a VPN but most free VPN's won't now do this. I use Pure VPN which from memory cost about $50 for 2 years.

As far as I know ITV does not have this facility.

Filmon is being prosecuted for copyright piracy, again, so is unlikely to be around for very much longer

In keeping with other suggestions here, any decent VPN, BBCiPlayer and ITV's version would seem best for recorded content

BBC have cottoned onto Boxpn and so no longer works on radio footy commentaries.

Thank goodness for Mobdro...

Amazing (non approved) app for Android devices. (Need to turn off "approved software only" whilst downloading the app.)

TV from all around the world, all Premier matches and much, much, much, much more.

JJ

Just googled it, apparently available for windows as well (no android device!) will try that when we get back to Tavira in a couple of weeks(y)

Modpro works, is a linking application, redirecting the user to streams from different sources. Good for as long as it continues
