She'll be three in November.

We seem to be getting along fine .
She appears to be a fairly confident, if not headstrong girl which is good for her to get used to her new surroundings.
We've been for a walk and all is good
I'm sure we'll be happy together .

You said that she is a greyhound..........

if I'm not mistaken she is a brown hound............

Lovely dog. Retired greyhounds make fabulous pets. We have had 2 for 4 years and I can't begin to explain the pleasure they bring us every day.

They love going away in the MH, although they do need stepping over when moving round the van...

I hope you get as much pleasure and happiness from your new addition as we do

Maggie @chatter had two rescued greyhounds and they were lovely companions ... poor Flek had had his ears cut off by some cruel bustards, and it took a while for him to trust people but he was a lovely friend to his new family.

Kerry doesn't yet know how to play... or possibly, not yet comfortable & confident enough.
Nor does she seem to know what toys are for... but she knows she wants them

I leave a few scattered around the room, Kerry collects them & brings them back to her crate!

She did this herself, no arrangements by the photographer .

Actually, I've probably had the longest conversation with a neighbour as I did yesterday having lived here for 15 years (but often away for work) when we bumped into each other at the he post box.

Beginning to figure out playing;

But it's not all been good ... she's showing signs of increased separation anxiety...
I know its all new & confusing for her (and me), but its hard to know how to give her confidence, without "rewarding" her signals & reinforcing the behaviors .

Our new girl is showing some anxiety too....It will soon pass though I'm sure, Keep up the good work

I noticed she likes to curl up in her humungous crate, so bought her a 'relatively' small bed.... which she has taken too ...

She just needs to work on her orientation skills .
