Travel through the illuminations in the usual South to North direction, shortly after the collection point at the North end turn right at the next major traffic lights, the best chippy in Blackpool is located a few yards down the road on the right. Can't remember the name, you walk up a few steps to get in. Best haddock in town.

Our fav is Bispham and Cleveleys Kitchen, its an eat-in chippy, just behind the Queen's Amusements arcade on the corner of the Promenade and Redbank Road, Bispham. Coming up the prom from south to North, its a right turn at the Trafffic Lights Prom/Redbank Road. Big Tram station at that junction, and an archway of lights across the road cant miss it :thumb:

Terry,

Bring up Google Earth, just type them into the top left box.

Exactly the same with Autoroute.

As recomended by others on here, the Solarium on the sea front ( south end ) usually has several campers parked around the square it is on
Toilet block to hand and a great chip shop about 150 yds along the front towards the main town

If you need to fill with water, there is a hand car wash ( I think it is in Lythom Rd ) quite close.. They charge a tenner to wash a motorhome and will fill your tank for a couple of quidlets

Fish n Chips

Hi Terry I live in Thornton Cleveleys about 8 miles north of Blackpool, (THORNTON FISHERIES IN THE VILLAGE CENTRE )best chippy by far with a dining room if required, and a shopping centre facing for parking, Best way to find it is North on the prom to Cleveleys centre turn right, through T/L, straight on at roundabout, through the T/L , Thornton centre at the next roundabout, parking on the left, chippy on the right, I live 2 mins away so I know this chippy well. Dont forget Harry Ramsdens on the promenade next to the tower. Parking is an issue round there but well worth the effort. NOT CHEAP though

sorry lankies out there, but there is no such thing as good fish n chips in Lancashire.
Could try Cumbria - maybe, but you really have to cross the Pennines :thumb:
otherwise you just get mouthfuls of soggy batter :winky:

It was me that recommended the parking arround the solarium. I can also advise that there is a good chippy just up and over the hill behind the solarium.

The fish is always nice and the medium chips are big enough for anyone!

That was my first.....and last experience of Harry Ramsdens.

Overated and overpriced.

Been in many other small independents which would put Ramsdens to shame.

Going to take some eating trying out the suggestions. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Andy
:ROFLMAO: We do not intend to try them all :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: But one or two will deffo get a try :thumb: Better armed with the recommends than chancing horrid ones.We have 6 chippys in our village and could not recommend any :ROFLMAO: We travel to one in Doncaster 7 miles away on the odd occasion we want fish & chips :thumb:
Thanks to everyone :thumb:I have printed them all out :thumb: Who knows if I get 1/2 hr to spare I may even learn how to use the sat nav co ordinates :ROFLMAO:
