Camping close to PARIS (1 Viewer)

Hi everyone, We are of touring through France again next year and are hoping to watch the end stage ot the Tour De France in Paris.

Has anybody any recommendations as to campsites either close to centre or on a train line so we can access the centre.

Only been motorhomers for nearly 2 years now but love it and when kids leave home (not counting yet) europe hear we come.

try www.campingparis.fr pick the site on the left of the page Bois de Boulogne we stayed here last xmas site runs a bus ( 5 mins ride to train station) Train station is 3 stops from Arc De Triumph

very, very good busy busy site reception is open 20 hrs a day you must book , motorhomes queue all day to gain access to site

Try Eurodisney. Train station within easy walking distance and entrance to the park also. You can buy any of the Paris transport tickets from day visitor to full week. Trains are clean and not intimidating. You might end up being seranaded by the travelling musicians, tip if you wish. Last time we were there it cost 13 Euros per day.

Security on the car park is basic but safety in numbers is the game. Have not heard of any problems unless someone can enlighten.

Another convenient site is Huttopia a good site set in trees, and just a five minute walk from the station Porchefontaine, well worth a look. Carol.

Not sure on that. It is Rue Berthelot at Versailles, we had a week there with no trouble at all it was a pleasant site, don't know how to put a link but it is easliy googled just with Huttopia Paris. Carol.

the one suggested at versailles is very convenient due to the short walk to the station ; it used to be cheap but tatty when it was municipal years ago ..much more expensive now but no doubt improved

but be careful on your transit pass ...there are several varieties and very reasonable if you get the one tailored to your visit

Not to expensive out of season and within walking distance to a nice town.

Been going to this site for the past 20 years every 2/3 years last visited this year on way back from Le Mans in june, really good site, has improved & expanded over the years. We allways stay on the upper level on the grass circle close to the road into the nice town & restaurants.

Been here too several times , train link is good from local town 15 mins walk. Train goes to paris central in one direction, other direction it goes all the way to Disney( end of line) simples

Try Le Beau Village Camping *** Le Beau Village of Paris - Homepage.

It can handle RVs up to about 10m long. I 'm 33 feet (with motorcycle rack) and can get in OK. Autoroute and dual carriageway nearly all the way. Motorhome firendly service station (diesel, LPG etc.) about 5kms away. Huge Carrefour Supermarket about 6kms.

It is about 20 mins from the centre of Paris on the RER C. The Campsite is about 15 minutes walk from the RER station.

Next to a large Park (Parc du Perray) which is great for dog walking etc.

10amp electric on standard 16amp camping plugs (no european 2 pin jobbies required).

Downside is that it is 20 minutes walk to the Restaurants in Sainte Genevieve des Bois (if you can call that a downside!).

hi,when we had our van conversion we used to camp right by the eiffel tower, on the banks of the river, avenue rue de kennedy, house boats moor there, water tap, police drive past and stop for coffee if you are about, up the steps to metro, lay in bed and watch the tower, old problem, height barrier, we got our talbot rambler in, now we have a coach built we go to chantilly, stay on carpak, and go by t g v, to paris, 4 times, never a problem, just follow rail line on map, and camp in station car park,
