Hi...cured my spinning Oyster..broken feed to LNB...Whilst messing I noticed my Sat Box..free to air type what too hot for me to be comfortable with....like toooooo hot.
I want to change this asap, anybody know an outlet near Annecy..need to be 12v...so I suppose its a caravan/ motorhome dealer.....or do you know better.

Pity you are all the way over there... I have a 12v Freesat receiver sat here for £25..
Try the supermarkets free to air should be easy to get but you would need to check ref 12v.

Follow this link for Google list of 12volt Sat Receiver sources:
Broken Link Removed.
Alternatively, Lidl has 12volt Free to Air systems from time to time. Check with them to see if they will soon be on offer.

Good luck.

Sorted....went to two caravan outlets...both had receivers for sale...200€ & 149€..decided to look elsewhere...these are marked up greatly for the Leisure market....drove away.
Whilst trying to locate our route back I noticed a discount electrical outlet....selling washers, TVs etc...popped in and popped out with a Strong sat box...all singing...etc. 79€
12V....HD took a while to set it up as the instructions are in French...but I managed it, only one small problem was getting it to talk to the Oyster...but thats not an issue just now.

since 2006 ( I think ! )
All sat receivers have a small inverter type power supply in them.. It is needed as the LNB's use higher than 12v to select polarity..
So they do get a tad ( !!! ) warm more often than not..

Melting component parts and blown fuse was enough to bin it....very happy to buy new box and be safe again..
