not this time your wizardness sir.....
all that does is magnify or shrink the content of the tab.....not alter the tab size.
when i clicked on a link or new tab it opened a new window at about 6" X 6"
over the existing full screen window.
now it opens at about 3" X 3".
if i drag the size out to what it should be and then close the window it still reopens at the smaller size.
the thumbs didnt show this very well for some reason.
i could always use system restore of course.....now it works ok.

I don't think it's Cntl and scroll wheel on mouse as suggested by Sinbad1 as that does not affect the window size but does affect the text and image size within the existing window. I suspect you've opened something else that has 'badly' created a pop up window and in doing so has overwritten your standard windows settings for the browser. Just resize the window by dragging the corners out to the size you want, then close the browser making sure this is the last window you close if you have multiple browser windows open. This will save the window size as your default for the browser.
Good luck .... Robin
OK try
Drag the window edges to the desired size
Close the window by clicking the X and holding down the CTRL button
Pappajohn have you tried clicking on the maximise button in the top right hand corner of your screen
