my 640 runs at 65psi rear and 59psi front

205/75/15 tyres

at these pressures the tyres run cool and the handling is good as is the ride on most roads.

ps...the owners manual doesnt give tyre pressures.

What weight is your van out of intrest?
I think my weights 2.5t, would that make a difference in pressure between yours and mine?

3.85t but the pressures are very similar.....try 62 rear and 57 front.

check the tyres after a good run....50 miles or so and if hot and sticky pump 'em up a bit more.

my last kontiki was a 3.5t and im sure i ran at 62 rear and 57 front.

you could try the higher pressures and if its to hard/bumpy the drop them a little.

the tyres are rated to 80psi max so a couple of psi either way wont hurt.

yours will be either 3.5t or 3.85t....not 2.5t....it will tell you on the small plate under the bonnet on the front panel top. Axle 1...axle 2...GVW or gross is the one you want?

My Merc based Burstner,3,500kg, runs 52 front and 65 rear on Contis. Papa sounds about right to me.:thumb:

Ran thread on this subject some weeks ago but got no answers so heres again. Bought my Auto Sleeper Sigma on 5 June from Marquis The pressures were 56 Front and 60 Rear (PSI) I checked the door frame and it said 70/70. A/S could not give me a definitive answer and said to have the vehicle weighted when with a full load and get Front/Rear axle and all up weight and then approach a reputable tyre coy and ask them for advice. Still avnt got to do this yet. Its a bit of a minefield I'm afraid

the door frame plate states 80psi (5.5bar) on mine but that is the absolute maximum permissable tyre pressure.
certainly wouldnt want to run at 80psi for long.
