What's the down side if putting 110ah battery in place of a 85ah leisure battery? Will it charge fully will the things running on it cope with the extra amps ?

I did that on our last van, as we are ralliers and it gave us a bit longer battery power. Charger was no problem it handled the battery

No downside at all.
It will charge the same, and the power coming out will be the same, the difference is that it will provide the power for a longer period.
Ah = Ampere hours, this is a measurement of the battery. so your present battery could (theoretically) supply one Amp for 85 hours and the replacement would give you the same output for an extra 25 hours (in theory)

Great as I have a new 110ah battery here and the camper has an old 85ah. Solar pannel and inverter next
