The remarkable history of the motor home started as a heartbreaking love story

An aristocratic polio victim’s love for his wife drove him to create this uniquely pimped 1930s Pontiac, Britain’s first motor home .

Methinks an awful lot of modern manufacturers could learn a thing or two from that van ! (y):)

What a fantastic piece of history. The question is, if you could own it would you store it very carefully or would you use it? Me, I think I would use it but very carefully.

I thought it would have gone for more than that. Andy Saunders who owns it is well known in the custom car scene. His dad owned it until he passed away and left it to Andy.

Toilet and sink go straight down onto the ground.

Brilliant idea.

No need for waste tanks, dump points or SOGs.
