I'm confused. It looks like an untidy wiring job where an existing reversing camera has been removed and another fitted. But some shots show a cover of some sort fitted and some without it. But when the cover was fitted whoever did that didn't ensure the tape wrapped wire was pushed out of the way.

Is Part 2 to follow with more clues? :)

Those two would surely have done a better job - they may even have got it to work!

3A's Leisure of Carmarthen

Quoting the victim:
"They do not know what they are doing, bodge electric on brand new motorhomes and lie to their customers.
They also make up lies about talking to Swift and Sargent about things.
And just to top it all off, they don't clean up after then selves and leave things in a mess
The photos you see show the mess they made the first time and then the mess after they lied about replacing wiring looms they bodged before. They wonder why they cant get the camera to work, maybe because the person working on it has no idea of the concept of shielded cabling. This has now been going on for over 3 months."

You're right.
Even with their disability, they work well in front of the camera!!! Bom Bom.

That Company is a multi franchise selling dealer, if they had done that to a new motorhome that i had ordered they would get it to keep.

Why would ANY workshop allow such work to leave thei premises.

A report to the major marques might be in order. What self respecting manufacturer would want to be associated with this.

There are obviously 2 vehicles in the photos, both appalling installations! Whoever did this, and whoever passed this as satisfactory, should be fired! Or shouldn't have been hired in the first place! Disgraceful!

A Woosh bang
No doubt done by a 'qualified' caravan engineer.... who served a 5 day apprenticeship..

that wasn't a joke..

I served a 5 year electrical technician apprenticeship .. and 50 years on, am still learning

a trained monkey could do better .. they should be tied to an A frame and given fifty lashes..

Our workshop at 3A's Leisure Stephens Way offers full caravan and motorhome servicing. Our professionally trained engineers and fitters are able to carry out a wide range of services including fitting motormovers and satellites.

We had a poor experience with them recently - nothing like on the scale of that botch up, though, more along the lines of "a complete waste of our time".

Seems like the MH sector suffers from the same spectre that haunts the broader motor trade; "More cowboys than a John Wayne movie"!

Please tell me you didn't pay them for that abortion, my cat could have done a better job!

No, it's not mine - it belongs to a fellow-member of 'Motorhome adventures' (a FB group), near where we lived near Carmarthen in a previous life.

Whoever actually did this particular job should be sacked but the 'management' who allowed it do be done in the first place, and expected the owner to accept it, should be sacked & the company closed down.

I wonder what other botch jobs they have done before and since? That was a job that we could see what about the hidden jobs dread to think! Won't be taking out Hobby van with loose window there then!!

Maybe the guy should contact the NCC and let them know what their member thinks is acceptable workmanship.
Also an email to all the franchises that allow them to sell their products. Might just get them to improve or lose the gig.
