Market rates because the systems in use are built for company employees on the road rather than the general public on holiday.

As Carol mentions, dongle is the way to go

My sistter recently stayed in a Premier Inn where wi-fi also cost £5 per hour. Normally she has no problem getting on-line using her O2 dongle but inside the Premier Inn she could get no signal. Can an hotel's system block other signals to make you use the hotels wi-fi?

Rip Off!!!

What a rip off!:Eeek:

Recently bought a Vodafone pay-as-as-you-go dongle with £15 credit already on it for £34

It is ok for 180 days, unlike most of the other which expire after merely 30!

get pretty good download speeds even when it can't find a 3g network.

Not a lot of difference from Caravan Club charges...

it's opperated by Link Removed
so it's perhaps the same and outside their control .. ?

Wi-Fi prices

1 hour - £5 (Valid for use over 72 hours from first log in)
4 hours - £8 (Valid for use over 92 hours from first log in)
7 days - £20
30 days - £33

Its a rip off like many things in Britain.

I am currently in a campsite in Javea Spain where the WIFI charges are 60c per day - yes 60 cents per 24 hours. Whilst on this trip I have seen charges as high as 4€ per hour, but equally often they are completely free.

I will not pay £4 or 5 per hour to the caravan club or similar, there can be no justification.

A decent 3 course meal for about 6 euros and a bottle of wine EACH included :thumb: :thumb:

Coffee & brandy for 1euro. I once asked how much was the coffee without the brandy as I was driving .....they said 96c , we're not allowed to give it away :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Hi, We are in Camping Javea, which we like because (apart from wifi for 60c per day) is reasonably priced at 15€ on the ACSI deal. You can walk (or bike ride) to the old town or to the port. There is also an absolutely superb restaurant at the site. Unfortunately I think it closes at the end of the month.

Re the Scallops comments, to be honest this is at the Arrunel beach which, frankly, we did not like a lot. So whilst we had heard recommendations we didn't go.

Moving on tomorrow, heading further south.

These only expire after 180 days if you dont use it for 180 days.
Just remember to connect then disconnect before 180 days is up. :thumb:

Hi.

Go into McDonalds free WiFi. Well nearly free I buy a cup of tea for 89p. Get 2 hours use before the battery goes flat. You just have to put up with kids.
