Sitting in the Van in a very pleasant CL close to the Eurotunnel terminal ready to go in the morning (we even had a walk up a nearby hill and were able to look down over it).
This will be the first time to France in the van and we are really looking forward to our postponed trip to the Alsace region. There just seem to be so many places to go, 3 weeks doesn't seem to be long enough! May have to go back:)

Exactly the same as us, we travel tomorrow morning and will aim for the lakes east of Lyon.

Woke up to a lovely morning, planning on stopping somewhere near Rocroi or Montherme tonight in Northern Lorraine area depending on how good time we make. Not sure how early the Aires are likely to fill up.
Hope everyone else enjoys the holidays as well.

On our 2nd MH now a AutoTrail Savannah which we're absolutely delighted with
Have you decided where to go?

yes we're stopping initially for 2 days at Neufchattel en bray then along the coast of Normandy & Brittany (using aires), dodging inland to avoid the coast at weekends. Thanks again for all your advice.

Obernai is really good if you fancy trying an aire its just outside the town walls so an easy walk in its just a big car park but very convenient Eguiseheim is very pretty camp site looked good be we didn't try it used aires all the time.

We made it to Montherme after a longer than expected drive down through the Ardennes luckily finding a place at 6:30 - the next day they went much quicker. Very nice spot with very good cycle paths following rivers in different directions.
If anyone should come here make sure you have emptied waste tanks as the nearest disposal point is nearly 1Km away.
Probably stopping at Verdun tomorrow before going to the Alsace.
Aiming for the villages near Colmar with various choices where to stay - probably more than one.
Will post an update.

Enjoy your trip we'll probably have to wait until next year now, glad we didn't make plans as we are moving house soon and daughter is having knee operation on Monday.
