Before w got our 1st M/M recently I jokingly suggested a revolving turret in roof where I could mount a scope and camera on gimbal ::bigsmile:
Last weekend we did our very first trip-60 miles down the road to Slimbridge. On Fri night it was great to be able to see the stars through the skylight :Smile:But in the morn it was even better to see skein after skein of barnacle geese flying over !!:thumb:
Praps my idea was no so far fetched :roflmto:

Never stop learning here. Never seen that word used in that context.

We get ducks over here, well I think that they are ducks, magnificent V formations, noisy amazing sight. How does the lead bird get the job ?

Potential Leaders do an NVQ followed by 2 yrs training leading to a Masters degree, then sit a rigorous exam board.:ROFLMAO: Who knows-but they aren't half good at it !!

I believe they all take a turn, it's the most tiring position in the formation.. the rest benefit from flying in the slip steam of the bird in front .. hence the V formation .. the weakest birds fly at the back ..

just found this, it explains it much better than I can

Obvious when it's explained

Never underestimate wing tip vortices, it's standard procedure that a tiny plane has to wait two or three minutes if a jumbo had landed because the swirling air it creates would and has flipped a small plane right over onto it's back, pilot has no chance. Think of the energy it takes to just pick up a small plane and toss it over.

That Hawkins chap would easily explain it, they've been perfecting it for 100,000 years or more.

Hell, in another 100,000 years we'll manage to elect a decent government.

if it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck.........then its a duck!!!!::bigsmile:

in your case the turret and gimbal idea should be fitted with a shotgun.
