Ferry and MH size (1 Viewer)

My Rapido is 7.16m and the size difference on dfds is up to 7m and then 10m, the price difference is not a deal breaker but it is a fair bit....

Has anyone been measured or do they know the sizes of vans...?

Will they be uptight about 16cm.....

Size matters I'm led to believe from Mrs buc'kett .....

cant help you on that ferry but i can say for me brittany ferries allow 11mtr length for a car and caravan . mine is 10mtrs gets measured in uk , in spain almost every year. sometimes twice .
even by the same staff sometimes as they say they remembered doing it last year but still cant believe its only 10 mtrs .
i think they do it to frighten other people as well.

i forgot to add i have had the trailer 16yrs now and except for two years have always used brittany ferries .
i have changed the truck.
but if i say go on look on the computer even before they measure they know its been there and back for years . i ask why they dont mark something on the computer but they dont . keeps them busy . its an inch under 10mtrs really.

I'd feel bad for the other people standing on the deck......


I've now booked with p&o with exact measurements (as you can)... £4 more but thought I'd splash out.....

Wow!!! Although I must admit that mine is 5.46 and I said it was 5.45.

You are just over 7m,so declare the motorhome as 7m. If you were 9m i would understand that you would have to pay a bit more and maybe pay the 10m price. We are 7.4 and always put down 7m and never been questioned.
