Has anyone travelled by ferry from Southern Ireland to Roscoff or Cherboug with their dog. If so does the dog stay in your vehicle for the journey or do they have kennels on board?
Any advice and info appreciated.
Thanks

We did last month on Brittany Ferries - Cork to Roscoff. Dogs stay in kennels on Deck 10 but also have there own " Dog " Deck on 9. You can visit and walk them as often as you like. Great set up. They are not permitted to stay in vechicle.

Thanks for your reply. If it's Britany ferries it will be good. Sailed with them 2 weeks ago Portsmouth to Santander with the dog. He had his own kennel. All very civilised and well organised.

It should be the same ship you used, the Pont Aven.

beginner, I don't like the newbie term
Depends which ferry company, Irish Ferrys dog in kennel between Rosslare and Cherbourg and there is a fee. Stenna no fee and you can choose to put in their kennel or keep in your MH, it's 17/18 hr crossing we kept ours in the MH. Allowed to walk twice on car deck accompanied by stenna employee for 10/15 each time they tell you what time. Car deck has no trees our dog didn't feel so inclined and waited til we got off.
