Time for better places, it's what MHs are for.

Sadly agree with Brian; drove down from Sterling to Notts on Saturday 300 miles of hardly a decent spot to pull over for a break...moaning to myself "now if this were France, Italy, Spain etc...there would be a decent place to stop about every 3 miles!"

Sorry to have a rant on your post .

Two CL's just outside Whitby and within walking.

A comment perhaps on why many go to France with an Aire in or near the very best of places.

I wonder what sort of chaos goes on at Arènes de Palavas?

I don't remember that, looks like an old bullring. But the place, very cheap municipal parking, showers in the Yacht Club. Very short walk to a million cafes/restaurants. A real Happy Place. We were just wandering home from Morocco, needed a stop and ended up there. Hot sun.

I can't think of places in the UK with this Big Grin factor. They must be there of course but not as easy to find, which is why OP is asking I guess.

One, similar simplistic place with dismal facilities, is Southport Pleasureland. Cheap, right location, if only they would at least provide a sanitary toilet dump. They have showers, they choose not to open them. Might be a planning problem.

View attachment 121004 out they have a 3 or 5 day stay policy now may be 3 days is ok but 5 in a motorhome

Really do they? I must have missed that coming into force; normally go for CL's as opposed to rip off priced sites...sadly even some of those are now overpriced for basically somewhere to park and some electric!
