Hi all
Does anyone know if there is a web site where I can find out the toll charges for any given route within France? Or, if not, how do you guys do it?
thanks
Andy

Michelin online route mapping calculates the tolls. I dare say other sites might as well.

In the 'Options' menu of ViaMichelin.co.uk include in the calculation that you are towing a Caravan.
That will get you the Class 2 price.

As far as I know, Via Michelin has no option for Class 2 or 3

I believe Michelin will calculate Class 2 as that category includes car+caravan but, yes, looks like it will not calculate tolls for Class 3 (above 3m high or 3.5 tonnes).

Just had a play with Mappy and it looks like camper van is assuming Class 2, I tried a route we have done recently and put in two axle bus and it seems about right for what we paid on our class 3.

at the end of the day we know it's expensive.. either accept the pain, or set the sat nav to non toll roads..

opinion is divided.. but my view.. If you want to get somewhere with the least stress and without dilly dallying.. use toll road.

if in no hurry, and you like villages and roundabouts... go non toll ..

New to this so really just trying to understand the difference in cost & time between a longer ferry & shorter drive (e.g. via Le Harve or St Malo) or shorter ferry (e.g. Calais) and longer drive.

'No hurry' is certainly the preferred route time allowing.

Some useful links here to help work it out, thanks.

Heading south in France I'd imagine the cost would be a lot less and if you use the tunnel and don't mind driving then quicker too if youre in Oxfordshire.
But if you're in no hurry .....
Calais or Dunkirk and meander down

Go onto the Sanef website to get all the up to date info re toll charges throughout France. We purchased the Liber "T" electronic pass as well, fits to inside of windscreen and the toll barrier lifts up to allow you pass, no raking for change anymore.
pay balance following month by direct debit !!
Best thing we ever got for driving in France !!

Interested in the tag but my van is fractionally over 3m in height with the Roadpro sat dome on top. I measured mine at 3.04m which I make a couple of inches over and wonder how accurate the height checks are at the barriers?

If you use the 30 kph lane(s) there are no barriers, just a small, quick Frenchman with a tape measure.

If it's 3.04 including the dome I would have thought you would be OK, and if it did click the wrong class "camping S V P" should work.

Oops Quoted the wrong post but @Bailey58 should see this.
