Not long enough!
Hi, hijacked this.
Discounted Norfolk line ferry fares. Someone may be interested, S.

Norfolk Lines were offering great fares - Dover to Dunquerque.
For a MH up to 2.4m high - low season £19 each way, High season £32
Over 2.4m high - low £24, high £37
these are for vehicles up to 8m long.
Code is TEF04 - and can be used more than once, and they can be amended free!!
Only slight snag is ( always is one!!) they must be booked before the end of the show - Sun 18th.
Good deal though.

Is that TEF(zero)4 or the letter 'O'?

I've just looked at their site and as yet found nothing at £19!

OK got it......its TEF and the letter 'O'.......but the lowest fare i found is £45 out and £25 return. Not so much of a bargain!

SeaFrance return fare is cheaper and I don't have a code either for them!

Hi,

If you use/chose Seafrance I would make sure you use your Credit card just in case they can't resolve their financial situation.

Booked 2 crossings today excellent value!

it was a "show offer" at the motorhome show NEC. they where handing out fliers. Thats why it ends today as the show ends 18th

But exactly where is this £19 fare????

Scoured Norfolk Lines site last night and found nothing remotely close to that price!

I guess it depends on dates. mine are both high season at the weekend returns. May and August

May Whitsun week £21 x2 + £6 fuel supp + £4 credit = £52 ( no length supplement)

August was £34 x 2 + 6 + 4 = £78 ( no length supplement)

just did a random one: out March back April and it was £64

I think it depends on a lot more than that.....a vivid imagination and divine intervention may help!

Stick the smallest mh or camper into Norfolk Lines site and you won't find a £19 fare....anywhere on any date or period.

OK fair enough ......maybe slots are filling up and price probably increasing

I just gave you an example of £21 May peak? thats only £3 more? and once again? they dont seem to be adding supplements for length either. are you sure you are on the "offical" Norfolk Line site.......

Some one posted this on another forum

"I have just booked out end of July, back end of August, £75. Could not use your ref TEF04 untill I Had registered for on line offers, then into booking, up came booking ref. Before that they were quoting me way over double this."

Just had a quote for £11 each way, and thats without the offer code.
OK its for under 2.4 mtr high, but you would have to swim to get it any cheaper.

Hi,

I know the origin of this thread was about the offer which expired yesterday, but all I would say is its really worth checking and comparing all of the ferry operators even when special offers are being reported, as quiet often one companies special offer can be higher than its direct competitor and that not just ferry companies, just look at the supermarkets.

Also if you are a member of one of the clubs its really worth checking with them, as while it can be time consuming, if you are interested in possible savings then it really is worth shopping around, albeit don't just accept that the club will be cheaper double check their prices against the ferry companies web site before booking.

You must also compare like with like, as often people quote prices but more often than not either the MH is taller/shorter - longer/shorter - or the sailing is at a completely different date or time, as we all know any one of these facts can make huge differences in the price.

I'm sure you already know the above information, but just in case anyone is new to this ferry booking scenario, i hope its helps
