Why does my Surflow pump keep going? (1 Viewer)

Why does my Surflow pump keep making a noise, when both taps are off? The only way I can stop it is by switching off at the main control. .

All of above is spot on ! I just thought I would add that if your boiler drain valve is open the pump will continue to operate in order to fill it.

7 years campers before that
Mine also runs continously occasionally no leaks or valves open in does sound different when it does this usually clears when i switch off then on again

happened to me while touring,found it was the shower control just slightly open

If you can't find a slight leak after the pump it could be the non return valves in the pump itself so might be worth stripping it down, cleaning and re building.

Every caravan and van we have had has occasionally pressured up in fact we were told that it would happen from time to time.

Probably a bit of detritus in the pressure valve, stripping and cleaning cleared it out.
