how do I put my heating on in my fiat Ducati 1997

Fiat Ducato is the base vehicle that the conversion is carried out on, not the make or model of the motorhome itself

Dials in the centre of the dashboard maybe mostly self explanatory.

Obviously you meann in the hab area but much more info needed.

There should be, if it is a Truma, either one or two dials to control the heating.
You are not alone in trying to figure out how they (or it) works.
If you have just the single dial, the inner part controls the habitation temperature when heating is switched on. The outer dial switches on the heating (gas) with one or two clicks moving the pointer upwards for hot water or very hot water and with one or two clicks downwards with the pointer for a warm or hot van. The other dial, if you have one is for electric heating, usually on hook-up. Please note that the system is quite sophisticated and may take several minutes to work and to switch off, this it is designed to do. When fully operational it should give off a good volume of warm air but not for several minutes after being switched on.
The heating duct pipes have been known to detach themselves from the heater, so if the heater is getting hot and the van is not, you could check this out.
