I posted a thread on 3-10-2009 stating testing your Broadband Connection Speed, as this has now been viewed by 450. It would be interesting to see :-

If you have performed the Broadband Speed Test to take part in a poll.

Are you getting the speed you were paying for?

As most of the ISP advertise an upto, download speed then i guess we all get the speed we paid for:Doh:. There are so many things that influence the actual speed you receive, distance from the exchange, your wiring etc etc.

Most of us i guess will be in the range of

Beat that!

This is what Speedtest.net reports but in reality my download speed is around 15Mb/s.

My ISP is BE Unlimited for £17.50 a month and I have a nominal 24meg connection. As I'm around a mile from the exchange I actually get 15meg.
