Looks like a tent to me...

Is there anything "posh" about a tent?

(Apart from the VIP sitting in it of course.)

JJ

Oh JJ my very dear chap, it does look a bit like a tent to the ill informed of this world but this is a screen conservatory and a 'must have' accessory among the affluent 'Fun Royalty' like @Carol and @FIDGET and @Teasy2007 and now @cliffandger.

.............Pfft, tent indeed

Oh how do you do that!!!

I download a free paint product like 'Gimp'. Then you can manipulate pictures from your files and pictures that you copy.

So I copied your Avatar picture and opened it in 'Gimp' then I took a picture of your real alter ego and dragged it on top of your picture.

There are so many of us now ordered these 'tents' that the site will look like a refugee camp at the next meet!!!!!!

I did Ger and I showed him the pic you sent me of your latest buy. He said he obviously needs to have words with Clifton about your spending habits:rofl:

Look forward to trying it out this weekend...will we all fit in it?

We will fit in a treat! We don't have the sides yet, but as soon as they're in stock I (or @Popeye - whoever gets there first) will be ordering three pairs, giving us three sides each!

And when we buy the 'mood lighting' from Poundland, we will be the envy of all our neighbours...... Won't we @movan !

Apparently since @Carol demonstrated her conservatory - note it's a conservatory and not a tent - at York, three of us ordered them then and there, and four have ordered them at Terry's meet today - we'me building our own refugee camp! (y)

But what am I missing? When do you sit in it? In bad weather? Cos it doesn't look waterproof and surely if the sun is shining you'd want to be sat out in it?

Think of it as a Lillypad that isn't attached to the wind out canopy. So when the slightest breeze gets up you don't have to wind it in and out like a fiddlers elbow (@Carol 's words) - apparently it withstood hurricane force winds as Bridlington last week - and if the day is overcast and chilly you can still sit outside in your conservatory - in comfort and as the Europeans say - in nature!

Now do you see why every MoHo should have one! ;)

Oh and when they are in stock, we will have waterproof sides, so we can sit outside in the rain! Being married to a very unrighteous person, so being unrighteous by association, this will come in very handy.....!

Very Happy with Robert Dyas - rang them the day after we ordered it to say the 20% discount offer was applied the day after we bought it and could we cancel it and re-order it to get the discount. They said it had already been despatched so no go with that, but they agreed, as a good will gesture to refund us the £30 - received it today - so the Conservatory was £120! (y) We will be using it this weekend with @Mr Mousy and @Mousy - I will report on Monday whether Martin's life is still incomplete or not..... ;)
