Tom tom sat nav (1 Viewer)

When I put the destination in nice and bright display. When I start the engine it goes darker?
Making it hard to see.
Tomtom start 60.
Any ideas.

All I can suggest is look in settings for a brightness setting.

Have the same problem, but this sat nav worked fine before, so possibly due to an 'improvement' update. TOMTOM gives an answer about using original cables, we do, or using charging only not data cables, have tried them all no difference. John's tomtom forget which one is fine bright screen, probably even more data than other, but nice bright screen when plugged in. altering the brightness settings makes no difference, sound is quieter too.

Yes that is the same as mine.might be sending to tom tom to fix.
It was after the first update.

Full brightness but still the same.

Cured it, all it was is plugged into usb socket so not enough power to run it
So using the plug that came with it.
Nice and bright display all the time now.

But we ARE using the plugs that came with it, fully charge before we leave, works fine, but that charge does not last for the length of some journeys. Plug in to the van using the tomtom supplied leads and plugs? dull screen and low sound. Other sat nav also tom tom is fine, this one was till updated.
Waiting for local Aldi to reduce price on Garmin camper, then i will treat myself.

Have you tried in another vehicle with the plug in from the good tomtom?
