Looking for a nice aire within 50 miles of Calais with EHU (1 Viewer)

Can anyone suggest a nice aire with leccy fairly close to Eurotunnel

There is a farm at Tardinghen, just up from Wisstant. Next door to the 2 Caps Brewery and the bakery van comes around in the morning. The top sites have views back to England and the ones alongside and behind the barn have EHU. 6 Euro a night.

We have stayed at all three of this farmers Aires and can't ever remember any electric being available, cracking aire even without the electric

Yes, we stayed at the farm a couple of years ago. Our aires book gave a phone number and I phoned from the UK to check there would be room in the hook-up area and again when we arrived in Calais as we were delayed on the crossing. The farmer's wife came round all the camping cars offering lobster for sale for the evening meal. We also had the baker come round. We all had to empty our cassettes into one of the 1000 litre containers often seen on farms with liquid chemicals in them.

Very quiet site.

Definitely electric at the farm site used it at Easter for the coffee maker.

As its on a farm is it a private aire if so would caravan be allowed on ?

If you are new to aires and fifty miles is no problem then look Embry up in the aires book, beautiful aire with immaculate shower block. Leccy is only for two hours at a time with a jeton out of the machine but really nice quite introduction to aires. The lady comes in the evening to collect her 6 euros and speaks good English
