as some of you know "here maps" used to come with Nokia phones, and was a brilliant gps that worked offline once you had downloaded the maps, well since Microsoft bought out Nokia they have been running down here maps and have now stopped it altogether on Windows stuff and brought out their own Windows mapping which is absolutely crap, but the good news is that some other satnav firm has bought the here maps thingy , think it's navteq or something like that.
Anyway it is now downloadable on all formats except Windows and it is fantastic, just as good as any satnav and all free, and works offline, with millions of poi and can be used for walking or biking or even public transport.
Well worth a look , we havnt used anything else all over Europe for the last four years.
