SMOVE ?? - Im sure I could have come up with a more innovative name. Looks very nice - is it an A class or a clever coachbuilt made to look A class?

I really like that, but like others, the kitchen part doesn't inspire me at all. :(

This is my favourite video in the N&B media range.

Cheers,

Jock. :)

That is the smartest best looking coachbuilt Ive ever seen.

I totally agree about the kitchen, its way to small and a shiny finish will show every mark there is.

The bathroom will be fine though; we have the Arto where the toilet folds into the garage. It takes seconds to do and gives you a large shower cubicle ( unlike some of the competition). Its also very easy to clean afterwards and still looks great after 6 years and a lot of use. The only downside is that you have to be careful how you arrange your garage but still got 300cc scooter, chairs, bikes, washing machine etc etc in there.

Not sure why N&B want to launch a new product now though, last I heard it was a one year wait for almost anything from them.

Very smart and looks well designed. Lots of nice touches.
Like the electric sunroof, the washroom and large water and gas tanks.
Much rather have an A Class though.
I wonder what the price will be.

Richard.

Seeing it next Monday when I collect my Flair from the factory. They were guarded about it 2 weeks ago but I am sure I understood its under 3.5 tons.

Hi Michael, I think you are right about the 3.5 ton bit, puzzled what you are collecting from the factory though new one or work done.

Hi Martin, warranty stuff, we elected to drive it there after our trip to Sardinia and leave it with them as Ryanair now fly to Newquay from Frankfurt Hahn which is oly 60 miles or so from Polch and twice a week too; then we fly back this Sunday to collect her and drive through France to Roscoff over 7 days and a ferry back to Plymouth. They are doing some changes for me as well, like a switch to flip the camera on during travel as well as when it goes into reverse gear, move the AC sensors outside the flap so you dont have to get up, open the flap and point the remote to change temperature etc, also move the bed AC sensor to the Bedroom!! Fix all the baggage door locks and other stupid issues which make you wonder if the designer actually has ever used a van in battle!
Having said that it is a fantastic van with so many well thought out features and engineering and I would buy another... when they add a slide out option like Morello.

I don't think there's anything I really like about that, poky kitchen not really designed to be used at all and nowhere to prepare food or wash up, never see the point of a sunroof on a car, let alone on a motorhome, hardly any space to sit down and lounge, the bed takes up way too much space, the bathroom is a clever design concept but whether it's actually practical is another thing. What's the point of a sliding door on the garage? It looks to me as if the exterior aesthetics was their first priority and they have then had to squeeze everything in to fit. As you can probably tell I wouldn't buy one, but I'm sure there are loads of people who will, each to their own I say :)

Hi Michael

A couple of years ago at the factory they had a Flair with a slide, it was a specialist converter that had done it for Euro 35K. Seems like sensible mods they are doing for you so hopefully they learn from it.

Do the designers ever us the vans they design "i doubt it".

Are you going to Dusseldorf?

Not sure about the music
Kitchen sink hob and workspace would be ok in a child's play room
The right hand lid is floppy so not going to work as worktop
Not enough roof space for me
Prefer separate shower and toilet facilities
Bed is too near ceiling
Garage door doesn't slide fully
Looks neat but not good enough
Style at the expense of practicality

I don't think, actually I know I won't be buying one either, But we always have a sunroof on a car for light more than air so I could imagine if I was going to buy one the sunroof might be desirable. The sliding garage door is an option I think for tight spaces as the video showed it with the standard lifting design. The kitchen YES I have to agree that it does not look practical. The bed, well everybody seems to want single or island beds but yes a transverse would give another 0.5 metre to play with in the lounge.

Anyway I will give it a good looking at in Dusseldorf.

Fantastic video, that must have cost a few quid to produce. I'll reserve judgement till I see it in the flesh, my initial thoughts are a lot of style over substance.

Love it, it has to take the prize for best looking low profile, looks fabulous how they have blended the Fiat front end to the CB body. Sliding garage door a great idea. If I was thinking about going back to a low profile it would be at the top of the list.

The sunroof will be an option like most of the goodies with N+B, they have the ability to design the exteriors in a contempory and exciting way, their engineering is excellent, but somehow the interiors lack style and real design thought compared to other German vans, Carthago, Concorde (whose exteriors are more horsebox than motorhome) etc. I see so many repeated items in this van, rear light clusters, interior bedheads etc, it is the same with Arto's and Flairs put them next to each other and you have to look to see which is which.

If you listened to the narrative at the beginning a start price of €88,000 was mentioned. Got bored with the music and switched off after a while.

Like the gadgets - camera in rear logo, sliding garage door & sun roof plus clever bathroom. First impression after the slick video is "want one" then thinking of practicalities remember that a strong, safe, durable, well designed (especially bathroom) van conversion would suit us better - just haven't found one good enough to justify change yet. Bit like the difference between a sports car & a mpv.

I've just shown the video to Rita, and at the start, she said, ""Oh, I do like that", but when she saw the kitchen area (and without any prompting from me), she said, "They can keep that. It's awful".

Cheers,

Jock. :)
