Has anyone used an Xplorer 135AH Leisure Battery (1 Viewer)

Hi all

I want to add another leisure battery, so am looking to by two identical batteries with the biggest AH I can get in the smallest physical size!

Is anyone using Xplorer branded batteries:

Or anyone recommend a high AH leisure battery less than £100 each...

These maybe the same battery as the 125AH ones they are selling at 2 for £150.
Why because you need to know the way the AH is measured. See

Not all AH ratings are the same. A battery can have more that one AH rating This one has three ratings
100AH @ 5 HR 115 AH @ 20 HR 135 AH @ 100HR

Since they don't say which measurement the AH refers too, Its impossible to compare different batteries.

XP125 seems a strange part number for a XPlorer 135ah.

You have to read the full spec, the Explorer being discusses is 135ah at the 100hr discharge rate.

Just found this which looks ok, a 110ah S6110L Platinum battery that looks ok

Says its maint free and sealed so should be ok under the seat...

As far as I know you still need to vent it to outside, sealed and maintenance free just means that you can't get in to top them up if they run dry, if there is a fault in the battery it will still gas.

Yes, will be putting in a vent tube but being sealed and maint free means once its in place I won't need to get past it to top it up and it won't leak so shouldn't need to be in a full battery box...
