Hi All,

I have recently bought a Dahon folding bike from Halfords in Kortrijk in Belgium on the way to Brugge, 50% discount cost me Euro275 same bike in the UK £860 what a bargain really chuffed.

I suspect not so much as bargain but the real value while in Rip Off Britain we get screwed.

Anything like this one ?

You are probably right about the rip off, have been travelling regularly for shopping to Belgium and France for 10 years and even with the weak pound still better off

I just can't believe the UK price. I bought a Dahon full size folding mountain bike for that price 4 years ago.

Hi Toffs-G - is that a blue roan on your avatar?

In 2004 I had a good buy in Kortrijk - saved £12,000 on a hymer:thumb:

what are these folders like to ride? I currently, have a Trek 1.2 and a Giant Terrago.

Great to ride I had always had large Raliegh bikes and then when i tried a couple of folders thought wouldn't bother then tried the Dahon and it is not a million miles away from a full size:thumb:

Hi Mike Rudkin

I got the Dahon Zero-G because it's full size and folding is just one clip on the frame. I

Rides like any other ATB I've had. Have worn one set of tyres out so far. Front tyre replaced after a large puncture but rear only replaced when it didn't have enough tread.

Only time I realise it's a folder is when I put it in the MH's garage::bigsmile:
