Rapido oven models (1 Viewer)

Help info needed.
7 series vans especially! what make AND model of oven do you have and pictures appreciated if possible.
Wifey wants to explore this option thanks

Hi Andy
I retro fitted an oven in to a CI and so not a Rapido
I fitted a smev similar to the linky but smaller in height
Easy job if the cabinet is suitable, mine was
The oven has a slight gap all around and I had to have a piece of stainless cut to make a heat deflector as the oven overheated the hob nobs, it slots in the top air gap

Overall we use the oven quite a lot, lasagna, pies, bread?! Etc etc

I'm sure ours is branded as Rapido. No idea of the model though other than that it's an oven and grill.

It works pretty well.

If I get a chance I'll pop over to the storage place tomorrow and see if I can find a part number and take a picture.

Not a very good pic I'm afraid.
The label on the front says Rapido and I can't find any paperwork indicating the manufacture
A pre-requisit of buying a mh was that it had an oven.
We've had this van for about 4 years and used the oven less than half a dozen times.
It's mainly used to store the bread and chopping board.
One of the draw backs of the oven is that it requires a large external vent, about the size of the bottom vent for the fridge/freezer.
Even with the winter cover on you get a pretty big draft coming through the top air vent on the oven

I've not seen one with an external vent.
The ones I've seen have vents in the worktop behind the hob.

Our two rapido's used a thetford/ spinflo, oven rebranded as rapido. like this

Ive got an oven smev one , looks like the one in your link . No outside vent for oven . Not Rapido van but Hymer . Hope this helps.

Hello Andy we had a Smev oven on our 741 and it took us quite a while to discover that when using the grill you should have pulled out the stainless steel heat deflector so take note

We have one of those fitted where the wardrobe would otherwise be on our 9048. It gets very hot when on for a while in the cupboard above, so much that we took the camper back to he dealer who fitted insulation. Now it's OK as long as we are pointing slightly uphill and the hot air can exit through the vents at the top. If pointing downhill the cupboard still gets quite warm although not such that it is of concern. Just shows these ovens do need venting properly.

The one in the picture needs no vents as the gap around it acts as a vent it has to be fitted in a sealed box which would make connection nigh impossible i connectedthrough a hole and sealed with flue mastic

I know it's 'only' a 6 series but our new 666F is fitted with a Dometic Cramer (Model CMBO) oven/grill, branded Rapido. It looks similar to the one in Red Dragon's post but has a cream edge to the surround, rather than black, to match the curved door and drawer below on our unit. It's only heated croissants for breakfast so far, so no idea how good it is really.

I have the same with a separate 3-burner hob. Couldn't find any manufacturer name or model so would appreciate any information you can find.

Took some photos of the smev oven in my van in case its of any use . There is a small black vent from side of oven as pictured , not much heat comes from it in use though

The one being sold by Magnums doesn't have those

Yes please. I can't find anything like the Magnum one that has no switches. they give a part number that only finds theirs instead of a model number

I phoned Magnums and theirs is a FO311 not a FO311GT so doesn't have those switches.
Cheapest I can find is £453 delivered.
Is the light and rotisserie worth it?

Cant find any numbers on oven itself , will dig through paperwork that come with van.
