Does anyone use a support under their hab door step? If so, can you share the details please

Cheers

Don't think it's a good idea..
if supported it may get damaged when you walk about in the van.. it has to be free to move up and down..

If stopped anywhere for a while we have a milenco alloy double step that we use instead of the electric one but it does fit nicely under the electric step when out and supports it if you wanted to use it like that.
I should say that is when we are usually on ramps so van is a little higher and the millenco provides a second step.

yes.. provided he has and uses them ..

if not, I suppose he could also use a scissor or bottle jack on the chassis rail behind the step..

too much hassle I think..

and curious why he wants support under the step..

we use a small fold up plastic stool, the type sold as a step ,usually no more than £3.99, homebargains or similar.
stops the step from rocking about and its easier to step down the last step if they are wet

Just seen someone else using one and thought I would ask about it. ;)

Living the dream.
Ours has a lot of spring in it and it's a bit disconcerting so we use a caravan two step that I dug out of the 'that might come in handy" stock

since 2006 ( I think ! )
We used to use a plastic step under the bottom one both for support and safety as it made the bottom step so much wider
Nowadays we do not use the on board step when plotted up but an aftermarket double..
