We're sitting in the van at Wissant (in the rain) on the last night of our first tour of France. Even though we're looking forward to seeing our lovely granddaughters, it's a bit of a sad night for us. We've had the most amazing time and thanks to Motorhome Funsters we've been able to enjoy ourselves to the full. Without all the info to prepare for our 7 week trip and the ongoing info (e.g. fuel/strikes/Aires) we wouldn't have been as relaxed as we have been these last few weeks. So thank you fellow Funsters from the bottom of our Spritely hearts

Tried a walk on the beach and dunes yesterday and had to leave 'cos there was a bit of a sandstorm going on, even the kitesurfers were giving up. Will look for WW2 site next time because we will be back!!

In that case we might head there off the Tunnel 'cos the forecast for the IOW is rain Can you fry an egg on the flags if so it will save wear and tear on the double skillet

We're in/on the Tunnel. Dog passports all OK and got an earlier train for just 7 euros extra. So will be home much earlier than we planned, unless Wightlink try to charge us an exorbitant fee for an earlier ferry. If they do we'll be on the midnight ferry! Anyone know where the Aire is in Portsmouth
