would recommend it something for every 1 you can have it as quiet or livley as you like and if you pay for the sea pitch there is a good chance you will be able to see the dolphins from your m/h.
we are going again next year we liked it that much

Hello
We have been to Croatia for two years running now with our two children - 10 & 12. We also went to camping stoja last year & this year travelled further down again to Krk. There are lots of large sites around, and I would agree with the comments made about Stoja. This year we were very close to the beach & the site was attached to a hotel with both indoor & outdoor pools. The only drawback going to Croatia is the cost of travel through Austria, which for a our van was around 100 euros. There are a few tolls in Croatia but nothing too bad.
I would recommend you check the bank holiday dates as we made the error of arriving in Croatia on Bank holiday Saturday & had the last pitch on our site - also the traffic was manic!
Reasons to go to Croatia - sun every day!
If you need any other info please feel free to pm me.

Spent a month in Croatia this August. No more than 2 night in any place. Nothing was booked in advance.

Travelled straight to Montenegro border (4 days) and then followed the coast road all the way back up to Trieste around to Venice (Lido).

Outstanding. Worth every penny.

Found that the South is great for small sites (Autocamp with a 'c). Also has large sites (Autokamp with a 'k') - not sure if the c & k thing was a coincedence but it always seemed the case for us.

In our view, south of Split to Montenegro is best. Cooler sea, nice people, less touristy.

As you go north, commercialism increased.

Thought the Istrian peninsula was awful - big characterless sites, poor scenery, very warm sea, lots of algae on the surface (possible due to it being a bit of static zone for the sea).

Doing it again next year to specific far south locations. Taking an inflatable and an outboard to pop of for a meal, sightsee, or a bit of shopping.

Highly recommended.
