First night after Falkirk, possibly my favourite wild camping location, certainly if only considering inland places

Moved on today to Kinlochewe, A CC site, they take a lot of stick, most of it justified, but they really do seem so much better north of the border, all this with hook up, hard standing and quite a view for £8.50 / night, almost free loading :):)

Looks lovely David, whereabouts is the wildcamping spot?
We're up that way ourselves in a couple of weeks so could do with some pointers

@Dave K the top of the Findhorn Valley, turn off A9 at Tomatin, head west as far as you can, road stops at Coignafearn, this stop is about 1/2 mile before the end by a private bridge

About 2 miles west of Torridon village, only a layby, so not perfect for wilding, but about 50' off road separated by rocks and gorse bushes, so might give it a go, particularly as got good phone signal and internet connection on my Vodafone phone

More stunning views and nudging 20C :sun:

You'll be glad to know it's cold & grey & drizzly here at home:LOL:

Usually when I go away the exact opposite happens so if anybody's thinking of visiting the Westcountry then do it in a couple of weeks time...and avoid Scotland like the plague :D

Decided not to stop at above, headed onwards following a prompt from @Carol and Eddie headed for Plockton, mainly because until earlier this year I had never even heard of it, like it close neighbour Applecross both sound like they should be in Devon not Scotland

Plockton doesn't really have much in the way of parking and my 8m MH stuck out a bit in the car park which technically says no overnight camping, although I doubt they would have minded, anyway decided to move on looking for a west facing location for hopefully a decent sunset

Couldn't resist the lure of Skye and boy did I find a spot, PM me for details on this one

struggling to get pictures to load :-(

Just pulled off the A86 roughly half way between Fort William and Dalwhinnie, (Creag Meagaidh Nature Reserve) not sure I will be stopping tonight here but great place to overnight, Nature reserve car park, nice and flat and big, little close to the main road but I would think it will be fairly quiet overnight. Maybe not quite as much as the last few nights. Will be put firmly on my overnight options on way to north west, this to me is so much nicer than the A82 Loch Lomond side alternative particularly if going to Skye

Absolutely no signage to say no overnight parking or camping etc
