I'm a newbie
Hi, we have an early morning train over to France in a few weeks and thought we would go down the night before so we would be fresh for our long drive once we arrive in France.

Any advice, hint and tips on where would be best for a sleep over.

Thanks
Jo

Or if you are a member of the C&CC:

The Field Certificated Site
Singledge Lane
Coldred
Dover

This site is quiet and peaceful (and well named) and just about 1 minutes from the port. We used it last year.

another suggestion would be to go over that night and stay nearby Calais Harbour, Gravelines etc which is what we do and then your already to go first thing in the morning.

What Jim said.

We always stay at Canterbury P&R. It's about 20 minutes to the tunnel from there.

Ever thought of doing it "the other way", cross late afternoon and stay near the port/tunnel. Time it right and you can get your fuel (oops, perhaps not at the moment) and any shopping, have a good kip then be already in France.
