We parked in Mevagissey today parked without problem in nearly empty car park. Had a nice pint in the ship inn then a pastie on the key side. They were telling me that the Ship Inn gets flooded regularly, six times last year by all accounts. Last time it was 2ft deep in the bar. Lovely place to spend a day but watch the seagulls they are man eaters.

If you get to a no entry, must turn left sign you have gone too far. Turn round immediately as it gets very tight very quickly, then tighter still!

if your in a large vehicle and want to drive through meva . as you leave pentewan at the top of the hill turn left . its possible to get through with full size trucks then . you can get out through and on to portmellon.and on to gorran haven. but bewarned it does get tight between penare and boswinger on the coast road.
hemmick beach is a great place but not at all good for large vehicles .

Correct. Even had to do a "three" point turn in our Volvo estate to get round a corner!

Much prefer The Fountain across the road. Cousin and I drank it dry of Tribute one night!

We love Hemmick beach but deffo not in the moho, our son who lives in Gorran havenm takes us there in his car, very narrow lane various gates to open & not too many passing places. we also love gorran haven & mevagissey

was better before the bog rocks went on the carpark by the beach. you could get 12 vw,s or toyota type vans there . brill for snorkelling . spent many weekends there over the last 50 yrs .

bet you would like trenarren as well you do have to walk abit past the millhouse etc but another good snorkelling beach its off the pentewan -porthpean road . lovely walk through the woods .

therte is a farm site about a mile from goran haven stayed there whilst visiting daughter in law,s dad [he owns the canoe ,s on the beach] nice cafe on beach,lovely walk,s

One thing for Cornwall it does like to charge for car parking. Mevagisy was £5 a day , not like there was a lot there.
