Hi all,

I am still awaiting the delivery of my new Knaus Sky ti 700 mx motorhome, (delayed another few weeks:mad:), and wanted to get some of my essentials bought.
The spec sheet says 2 x 11kg, however my local gas suppliers are Calor and they don't supply 11kg only 13kg, does anyone out there know if two of those will fit?

Cheers.

Andy

Probably not, my Hymer just took 1 x 13kg and 1 x 6kg, the 13kg straining the plastic holding catch

We now have 2 x 11kg refillables that fit perfectly

Unfortunately it doesn't come with any, I have a large selection of Calor bottles to trade in so it would have been convenient to do that, will have to find a Flowgas supplier.

i say uk buyers should kick up a fuss and get manufacturers to make gas lockers the size of two 19kg bottles . only payed 28.88 quid for my new flogas bottle last week . far better than refillable . plus two of them filled last months .

Look for other suppliers not just Calor... ie Flogas, they do 11kg and you may find it cheaper..
We have a company called Budget gas but they are only over my neck of the woods..

Mine says 2 x 11 kg. I have 1 x 11 fitted and I cannot get a 13 kg beside it, so I would say as above probably not to 2 x 13 kg. when the 11 runs out I will replace it with the 13 and a 6 I have. Just for ease and cost I stick with calor.

Was thinking about fitting one 11kg Flowgas and one 13kg Calor if they will fit, that way I double my gas suppliers. however if as Zigisla says may have to rethink that.

Without measuring the locker you can't be sure, I have 2 x 13kg Alugas in my Hymer.
I thought that Alugas only went up to 11Kg. If they are 13Kg, could you give me the measurements of them when you can please.

FloGas will deliver to most areas. Can't get much more convenient than that. 2 x 11kg is much easier to manage than 1 x 13 & 1 x 6kg. Not being exactly Mr. Muscle, I was surprised at how much easier the 11kg is to physically manhandle as well.

You still have the added expense of the "contract" for your first bottle though. I already have a 13Kg (thanks to a very kind young Gentleman from Taunton;)) and a 6Kg (thanks Dealer Viscount from Bursledon). At circa £17 for the 6Kg and £22 for the 13Kg and Go Outdoors just up the road, I go for Calor. One day when I cannot manage to lift the bottles I'll change:smirk:

True.

I managed to do a deal, so it wasn't an issue. That sounds a good price for a 13kg Calor to.

I lied they 14kg.
Dimensions are here on the .
Autogas 2000 do the 14kg Alugas bottle. About £20 more than the 11kg. I was considering one when I fitted the 11kg Alugas bottle. But a bit too high for me. It does have a removable collar though.

They only list 11 & 6 kg on their website, I didn't think they imported them into the UK, mine came from Belgium.

I have the 11kg Alugas which leaves enough room to stick my Spanish bottle in beside it :)

Not long enough!
I know it's an old thread but autogas2000 do the 14kg bottles, and you can fit without the collars which make them 648mm high and same diameter as the 11kg bottles.
